About Irish Girls Basketball

Rosemount Girls Basketball

Our mission is to strive to live every day with Pride, Integrity and Discipline! Our young women athletes commit to playing winning basketball and to being successful students in the classroom.  We teach lifelong skills and develop confident leaders by fostering positive relationships and promoting a chemical-free lifestyle. We aim to extend this positive influence into the Rosemount High School community and beyond.

Philosophy
Rosemount Girl’s Basketball is guided by three basic principles. They are Pride, Integrity, and Discipline. All of these words are guiding principles in life and will lead us in making decisions both on and off the court.

Pride is a word commonly associated with competition, but it is a fundamental piece of all successful programs. To be a successful at something you must exhibit pride in everything you do from organization, communication, to your work ethic.

Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Integrity means treating people with respect while still holding them accountable. Playing basketball at Rosemount is about more than winning and losing; it is about building character. Without integrity our final record becomes another obscure stat filed away.

Discipline is another fundamental tool of success. In a program with discipline, coaches and players hold one another accountable to high standards of excellence. Discipline means being on time to meetings and class, finishing a drill, turning in your homework on time, and countless other tasks that are asked of student athletes. All of these “little things” add up to become big things. When individuals of a team learn personal discipline they add to the greater good of the team and themselves. This is when success and team building occur.

With Pride, Integrity, and Discipline the spirit of a team lives in a program.
