What is the mission of the RHS Back Court Club?
The mission of the Back Court Club is to support our basketball players and coaches to help make the RHS Boys Basketball Program a success on and off the court. The Back Court Club supports all levels, not just the Varsity team. The Back Court Club coordinates volunteers for various events, sponsors team dinners and events, encourages community outreach and youth team involvement and organizes fundraising support for the program above and beyond the financial budget that is provided by RHS. We are a 501 c 3 organization and accept corporate matches or donations of any kind that is all tax deductible.
The Back Court Club actively advocates for the RHS Boys Basketball in the broader community, aiming to inspire both fans and youth teams to participate in our games and programs.
The Back Court Club is committed to creating a memorable basketball experience for coaches, players, parents, and fans alike.
Members/Membership
We extend an invitation to all parents of basketball players to join the Back Court Club. We recommend a fee of $175 for players 9th grade through twelfth, with $40 of the fee designated for their practice jersey, which they will use throughout their four years at RHS.
Every month, we hold open meetings the first week of the month, welcoming all parents to participate. These gatherings cover topics such as financial matters, brainstorming fundraising ideas, team events, and activities. We receive updates from Coach Q regarding the team and program, and engage in discussions about our basketball program's goals and plans.
The RHS athletic activity fee, which every athlete pays when registering for Boys Basketball, covers essential equipment of the basketball program. The contribution requested to become a member of the Back Court Club will assist in supporting expenses and events not covered by the activity fee. Examples of Booster Club support in recent years include:
