Welcome to Rosemount High School Boys Basketball

Welcome to Rosemount Irish Boys Basketball. We are building a winning tradition while teaching the game of basketball and life lessons to the young men of Rosemount High School. We will win with character and class and exhibit dignity in defeat. We will play hard, with passion and enthusiasm, and excel as both students and athletes.

2016-17 Rosemount Boys Basketball

Thank you to all of the coaches, players, parents and fans who made the 2016-17 season great!

Enjoy your summer and stay tuned for news and information as the next season gets closer!

Program Overview

This an off-season program to encourage players who are involved in boys’ basketball at RHS and RAAA programs to put additional work into shooting and ball handling this summer. The Irish 10,000 Shots Made Club & 100 Bounce Club program will be offered to current players in 3rd -12th grade from the RHS program and RAAA Traveling and In-House programs.

Making 10,000 quality shots and/or completing 100 Ball-Handling workouts during the course of the summer (June 1-Sept 30) is all it takes to become a member of the Club(s).

It has often been said that teams are made during the season and players are made over the off-season.  By working on your game this summer (getting quality shots up and working on your ball-handling) on a daily basis, you will improve your shooting and give yourself an advantage over your competition.

How to Participate
Players simply need to keep track of the number of made shots and/or ball-handling workouts completed between June 1 and September 30th during the off-season. Those players who cross the 10,000 shots “made” threshold and/or 100 ball-handling workouts receive recognition for their accomplishment.

Simply download (document on this page below) and fill in the "Shot Club Tracking Sheet" and/or “Bounce Club Tracking Sheet” and email it in before October 15, 2017.  In order to qualify for an award, the following criteria must be met.

  • Print your name and year in school where indicated.
  • Shoot and record the number of shots made each day
  • Starting date is June 1st and the End date is September 30
  • Have your parent or guardian initial each month throughout the summer.
  • Record your total shots made at the end of the summer.
  • Have your parent or guardian sign and verify your completion.
  • Deadline for returning your completed shot club form is October 15

Program Awards & Recognition
Players that cross the 10,000 made shot threshold and/or 100 Bounce Club threshold will receive the following recognition:

  • Recognition at a varsity game.
  • 10,000 Shots Made Club t-shirt.
  • 100 Bounce Club t-shirt

Irish Summer Skills Academy Registration is still open.  All returning players are strongly encouraged to register for the appropriate summer session, as we use this time to work on critical skill building activities that will foster their development in all facets of the game.  The link below offers a direct path to the registration page.

Thank you to our sponsors!

Visit our "Sponsors" page and show them how much you appreciate their support by giving them your business.

As you consider your summer planning, please note that ISSA for Grades 10-12 will take place on Thursday evenings from 5pm-7pm beginning June 15 and closing July 27, with the exception of the week of July 4 (no contact period). AAU Basketball offers the opportunity for players to compete throughout the Spring/Summer outside of their high school environment with players from other local high schools in highly competitive practice and game settings both in & out of state. Message from Coach Shelton:

As we move into the new season and years to come, we are looking for parents of players at all grade levels to involve themselves with the Backcourt Club.  The Irish Basketball Boosters, the “Back Court Club,” is charged with adding value to the program in a number of ways. They help by organizing events that enhance the player and fan experience, by building youth and community involvement, and by promoting fundraising activities.  The Back Court Club meets periodically throughout the year for event and program planning, to discuss key issues, and to offer suggestions on running a top-notch basketball program. Our growing basketball program requires the support of many volunteers, partnerships and innovative ideas. We are encouraging the entire IRISH BASKETBALL NATION (parents of high school and youth players - traveling and in-house, alumni and interested residents) to get involved and help us elevate our program.  If interested, please reach out to Coach Shelton to get more information regarding upcoming meetings.

Do you want to be sure to stay informed with what's going on in the program?  There are a variety of ways to do that.
